Fintech sector shifts from scale growth to profitability battle
South Korea\'s fintech sector is moving beyond scale expansion and into a battle over profitability. Toss operator Viva Republica, Naver Financial and Kakao Pay posted their first combined annual net profit last year, with revenue also hitting record highs. Toss Place names 16 top partners for 2026
Toss Place, a subsidiary of Viva Republica that supplies payment terminals and point-of-sale solutions, said on Thursday it selected 16 companies as outstanding partners for 2026. The programme recognises agencies that provide good service experiences to merchants and promote the value of Toss terminals and Toss POS. Selected partners receive a plaque, an outstanding agency emblem and marketing benefits including posting on the official website.
