Toss Place, a payment terminal and point-of-sale (POS) solution unit of Viva Republica, the operator of Toss, has started on-site meetings to visit merchants and hear feedback on service improvements.
Toss Place said on Aug. 21 it recently held the first "Visiting Toss Place" event at a merchant, "Half House", in Seoul's Gangnam district.
"Visiting Toss Place" is a meeting that uses a merchant location as a base and invites nearby merchants to hear service-related opinions and difficulties in store operations. Toss Place plans to continue the events while expanding to more regions.
Based on questions received in advance, Toss Place held a Q&A and, through group sessions, heard opinions related to store operations such as POS function improvements, sales and customer management, and marketing.
It also held a session for merchants to try an AI-based new service in development before its launch. Toss Place plans to reflect the opinions presented by merchants that day in future service development and the launch process.
A Toss Place official said, "As it is important to properly hear voices from the field, we will review the opinions we heard by merchants' sides and turn them into actual service improvements."
