Oracle, OpenAI expand enterprise AI alliance from security to app development

Oracle will work with OpenAI to roll out AI-based enterprise products, the company announced at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas. Oracle said the two companies combined OpenAI models, ChatGPT and Codex with Oracle applications, data and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to launch products across operations, application development, security and startups. Offerings include Oracle AI Workspace, Oracle AI Security Mesh and Oracle App Composer, plus an Oracle AI SMB bundle that includes $12,000 a year in Oracle cloud credits.

NIPA tests elder care technology in Japan, verifies six services including AI

South Korea\'s National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) said it began on-site verification in Osaka, Japan, of outstanding developments from the 2026 Global PIUDA Project. The three-day programme runs through Oct. 29 with local partners including Osaka University and the ATC Ageless Center. Older Japanese people, their families and care and welfare workers will try and evaluate six services, including AI-based offerings and rehabilitation and exercise platforms.

Ethereum delays \'Glamsterdam\' testnet, turns to AI for security checks

Ethereum\'s planned \'Glamsterdam\' hard fork test schedule was postponed after a security vulnerability was found, prompting researchers to deploy AI agents to check potential impacts on existing smart contracts. ChainSecurity found issues in EIP-8037 and EIP-8038 that could affect safeguards in at least 13 DeFi contracts as gas handling rules change. Developers delayed the Hoodi testnet rollout while reviewing indirect effects and also expanded checks to the next hard fork, Hegota.
