Younglimwon SoftLab, an enterprise solutions company, sponsored the "2026 Capstone Design and AI Hackathon Competition" held from Oct. 23 to 25 at Elysian Gangchon Resort in Gangwon Province.

The competition was hosted by the Korea Association of Computer Education and jointly organised by Sungkyunkwan University and Chonnam National University AI Innovation Convergence University Project Group, Soonchunhyang University AI-Centered University Project Group, and the SW-Centered University Project Groups of Hoseo University and Hanshin University.

Six of 20 teams developed applications using an AI coding tool developed by Flextudio, a Younglimwon SoftLab subsidiary.

About 100 students took part. Participants formed teams on site with students from different universities, chose between two tracks - a free topic and management information (ERP) - carried out development assignments using AI and software technology, and presented the results. Total prize money was worth 12 million won.

Younglimwon SoftLab said the six teams using Flextudio took part in development by choosing the field they wanted from the free topic and management information (ERP) tracks.

Students used the AI development tools FlipFront and FlipBack to implement work screens and server-side processing functions. In the free-topic track, they built applications by linking external APIs and Supabase, a backend-as-a-service (BaaS) platform. In the management information (ERP) track, they developed business applications linked to Younglimwon SoftLab's cloud ERP, SystemEver.

Judging results showed that in the free-topic track, the grand prize went to the team that developed Trail, a curriculum-based academic planning solution. In the management information (ERP) track, the grand prize went to the team that presented Price Bridge ERP, an AI-based ERP system for linked management of supplier delivery-payment amounts.

Flextudio provides a business system development platform that can develop web and mobile applications tailored to a company's work procedures. It can be used for sales management, order management, inventory management and after-sales service management. It can also link with existing ERP systems and databases to use business data.

Flextudio CEO Orim Kwon (권오림) said, "We confirmed that even students who encountered AI coding tools for the first time at this hackathon were directly developing business applications using them." He added, "We will continue to advance AI-based development functions and support more convenient use of data from ERP and business systems used by companies."
