[DigitalToday reporter Chi-kyu Hwang] Oracle is working with OpenAI to introduce an AI-based suite of enterprise products.

Oracle on Oct. 27 local time announced new cooperation with OpenAI at 'Oracle AI World' held in Las Vegas.

Oracle said the two companies combined OpenAI models, ChatGPT and Codex with Oracle applications, data and cloud infrastructure to introduce products in four areas: business operations, application development, security and startups.

'Oracle AI Workspace' integrates OpenAI models with Oracle business applications such as Oracle Fusion and NetSuite, enterprise data and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Enterprise users can search for information and handle approved business processes with ChatGPT plug-ins. If a user describes a business goal, the ChatGPT plug-in supports execution by gathering the necessary Oracle tools and information.

'Oracle AI Security Mesh' is a managed service that uses OpenAI cybersecurity models.

The company said it can find and fix application and infrastructure vulnerabilities in OCI, other cloud services and on-premises environments before attackers do. Customers can set the scope of testing.

'Oracle App Composer' supports employees with no coding knowledge in developing enterprise applications with Codex, OpenAI's AI coding tool.

Oracle is responsible for deploying and operating applications developed through OCI. Oracle also supports a new technology called 'ApexLang' that creates easy-to-manage code while maintaining development speed using generative AI.

Oracle and OpenAI also introduced an 'Oracle AI SMB Bundle' for small businesses. Oracle AI SMB is an integrated product combining ChatGPT Business, Oracle AI Workspace, Codex, App Composer, OCI and NetSuite QuickStart. It also provides $12,000 a year in Oracle cloud credits.

Oracle CEO Clay Magouyrk (클레이 마고요크) said, "We will combine OpenAI's innovative AI capabilities with Oracle applications, data and cloud infrastructure that companies around the world use for core operations."

OpenAI President and co-founder Greg Brockman (그렉 브록먼) said, "We will expand cooperation with Oracle so that more companies use frontier AI in their day-to-day work." He said, "Teams will be able to build software faster, strengthen security and handle more complex knowledge work."
