LG Display secures 1.5 trillion won from National Growth Fund, to invest 3 trillion won in OLED

LG Display said it raised 1.5 trillion won in long-term, low-interest funding after being selected for the National Growth Fund’s second megaproject supporting OLED technology leadership. It will add 1.5 trillion won of its own funds to invest a total of 3 trillion won in developing next-generation OLED technologies and building production infrastructure. The company said the funds will focus on equipment for differentiated OLED technologies.

Samsung Display hits 1,600 nits peak brightness for laptop OLED

Samsung Display set a new benchmark in the high-brightness race for laptop displays, saying it will begin full-scale supply of tandem OLED panels that meet VESA’s newly established top brightness grade, DisplayHDR True Black 1400. The certification requires 1,400 nits at 10 percent OPR while keeping black levels at 0.0005 nits or lower. Samsung Display said its panel reaches up to 1,600 nits, the highest among commercialised laptop OLEDs.

Dell unveils six new XPS and Alienware products, from 1 kg ultralight laptop to 330 Hz gaming monitor

Dell Technologies on Wednesday unveiled six new products, including premium consumer XPS laptops and Alienware gaming laptops and monitors. The lineup includes the 1 kg XPS 13 with a 2.5K touch display and Intel Wi-Fi 7, and the XPS 16 Creator Edition featuring Nvidia’s RTX Spark AI PC platform. Alienware also introduced a 15.3-inch gaming laptop and three monitors, including a 39-inch 5K OLED model supporting 1080p at 330 Hz.
