Tmap Mobility, LG Electronics begin development of hyper-personalised services technology for autonomous vehicles

Tmap Mobility and LG Electronics will develop vehicle technology in which artificial intelligence identifies a driver’s intent and surrounding conditions. The companies said they signed an MOU at LG Sciencepark in Seoul to build an ecosystem for autonomous driving and in-vehicle agentic AI in an AIDV environment. They will link LG’s HPC-based vehicle platform and AI technologies with Tmap’s high-precision maps, 3D lane-recognition navigation and POI data, and validate functions in a CARLA-based digital twin simulation.

Tmap Mobility joins Incheon Cheongna AI connected car project

Tmap Mobility will work with the Incheon metropolitan government and the Korea Automobile Testing and Research Institute on developing AI connected car technology. The company said on Oct. 28 it signed an agreement to cooperate on technology development and to help build a future AI mobility base in Incheon. The parties plan joint responses and planning for the project and support for industry development, including creating a core hub in Cheongna.
