SK Telecom will step up development of “AI for Everyone” by working with specialist companies and institutions across eight sectors including finance, education, healthcare, small businesses and mobility.

SKT said on Sept. 10 it held a launch event for the “AI for Everyone” consortium on Sept. 9 at its T Tower in Jung-gu, Seoul.

AI for Everyone aims to be an “end-to-end execution agent” that analyses users’ requests and situations, links them to suitable AI models and specialist services, and carries out follow-up work.

To that end, SKT formed the consortium across eight areas: education and future generations, finance and payments, small businesses, public services and healthcare, caregiving and welfare, investment and venture capital, AI technology and security, and lifestyle.

In education, Liner will develop an agent tailored to young people such as job seekers based on AI search and research, while Elice Group will support AI capability assessment and customised learning. The finance area includes Shinhan Card, Hana Card and Habit Factory. The card companies will 추진 conversational payments and linkage with AI-based financial services. Habit Factory will use MyData to link insurance and asset management services.

For small businesses, Channel Corporation will support automation of customer consultations and reservation tasks. Alfred will provide tax, finance and bookkeeping services as well as policy support services. Korea Association of Certified Tax Accountants Computer Corporation will link tax information with consultations with experts.

The public services and healthcare area includes Persona AI, Goodoc and Soundable Health Korea. The aim is to connect guidance and application support for public services with hospital search and reservations and the provision of health information into a single AI experience.

The Korea Senior Social Welfare Center will, in the caregiving and welfare area, handle check-ins on vulnerable elderly people living alone, daily safety checks and linkage to needed support. Hashed Ventures, which is responsible for the investment and venture capital area, will verify AI startups and supply new services to the consortium.

In AI technology and security, Nota will handle AI model slimming and optimisation, Selectstar will handle data building and quality verification, and A2SYS will handle model routing and inference optimisation. Aim Intelligence will manage risks such as harmful answers or exposure of sensitive information through AI red teaming and real-time checks.

In lifestyle, Tmap Mobility will link place, route and traffic information with mobility services, while SK Broadband will develop a content recommendation agent reflecting users’ viewing histories and preferences.

Kim Ji-hoon (김지훈), head of SK Telecom’s AI business division, said AI for Everyone aims to be an end-to-end execution agent that provides answers tailored to users’ situations and carries out follow-up actions. He said the company will introduce a representative AI service that helps people in their daily lives beyond a simple chatbot.
