Chinese electric vehicles could enter the U.S. market most likely through joint sales with local automakers, a survey of Electrek readers showed. Most respondents said it was only a matter of time before Chinese EVs arrive, citing potential partnerships with General Motors, Ford or Stellantis and distribution through dealer networks. Some said it would never happen, expecting the U.S. government to effectively close the border. The survey also highlighted that U.S. brands already sell China-made vehicles.
