KOCCA to support AI transition in game production environments with up to 50 million won
The Korea Creative Content Agency will work with industry groups to support an artificial intelligence transition in South Korea\'s game industry by subsidising tool subscription fees. The Culture Ministry and KOCCA signed agreements with four associations to run the programme. Applications will be accepted from May 18 to 27. Support ranges by company size, topping out at 50 million won. Selected firms can receive 100 percent support for domestic tools and 90 percent for overseas tools.

Samsung Electronics is upgrading an integrated health solution for runners by combining 14 years of Samsung Health data with precision sensors in the Galaxy Watch. The platform goes beyond basic activity logging to cover posture analysis, heart rate tracking and recovery management, offering metrics used by elite marathon runners in an accessible way. The company also runs a Running Coach service that assigns running levels and recommends training programs, alongside daily indicators such as sleep, mental health and nutrition.

South Korea AI action plan: 88 percent of 326 tasks on track as infrastructure and talent take shape
South Korea\'s National AI Strategy Committee said on May 14 it completed a first-quarter review of 326 tasks under the country\'s AI action plan. It found 288 tasks, or 88.3 percent, were proceeding as planned, while 38 needed supplementation. Steps cited included passage of a special law to promote the AI data centre industry, allocation of 13,000 advanced GPUs and new tenders for large-scale GPU projects.
