LG Hellovision said on Tuesday its original human documentary series "Catching Heroines" won the Gender Equality Culture Content Award at the "2026 Gender Equality Culture Awards".

The Gender Equality Culture Awards recognise people, organisations and content that contribute to spreading a culture of gender equality in areas such as culture, arts, sports and tourism. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and hosted and organised by the Women's Culture Network and the Women's Newspaper.

"Catching Heroines" is a human documentary series about the daily lives of women working in a variety of workplaces. It has produced a total of 9 seasons since its first broadcast in 2022.

The programme has featured 109 women professionals, including subway train drivers, ship welders, scrap yard operators and delivery workers.

Related videos released on LG Hellovision's official YouTube channel, "HelloLife", recorded a peak of 12,580,000 views for a single video. Cumulative views across all seasons exceeded 125,900,000.

Ryu Bok-yeol (류복열), chief producer at LG Hellovision, said, "I was able to receive this award thanks to the 109 protagonists who appeared over the past 5 years and to the viewers." He added, "We will continue to introduce stories of women professionals from diverse fields."
