The 2026 Korea Game Awards, which reviews the domestic game industry over the past year, will be held in Busan on Nov. 18.

The Korea Game Industry Association said on Sept. 28 it will accept nominations for the 2026 Korea Game Awards until Oct. 12.

The event is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organised by the Korea Game Industry Association. It will present prizes in 13 categories, including the main awards, the Popular Game Award and the Indie Game Award. Total prize money is 30 million won.

The main awards consist of the grand prize, the top excellence award, the excellence award and the technology creation award.

Winning works and winners will be decided based on judges' evaluations as well as online voting results by the public and the media. Online voting will run from Oct. 26 to Nov. 16, with game reporters and game influencers also taking part.

This year's awards will be run in linkage with Outstanding Games of the Year, which is organised by the Korea Creative Content Agency. Winners by category in Outstanding Games of the Year will be automatically registered as candidates for the Korea Game Awards.
