MSIT to restructure affiliated public agencies, merge K-DATA into NIA
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will restructure functions at its affiliated public agencies, including integrating the Korea Data Agency (K-DATA) as an affiliated body under the National Information Society Agency (NIA). It will also integrate the National Research Foundation of Korea with the Korea Technology Commercialization Promotion Agency to strengthen links from basic R&D to commercialisation. The ministry plans to create a new foundation to integrate four regional national science museums and will pursue related legal revisions.

Korea science ministry to boost global cooperation with fusion technology leaders
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT plans to expand international cooperation to commercialise fusion power with leading countries including Britain and the United States. First Vice Minister Ku Hyuk-chae attended the Global Fusion Policy Summit in London and discussed ways to broaden bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The meeting explored extending cooperation beyond technology development to regulation, commercialisation and industrial ecosystems. Ku also met a British energy minister to review joint R&D and discuss further cooperation.
