Samsung Electronics to reshape future industry portfolio with region-specific clusters

Samsung plans to reorganise its future industry portfolio into four regional clusters, centred on a Seoul metropolitan semiconductor hub and additional bases in Honam, Chungcheong and Yeongnam. The company said it will invest a total of 2,655 trillion won domestically to foster cutting-edge future industries. Spending includes 2,030 trillion won for the capital region’s chip cluster and 625 trillion won for AI semiconductors, robots, batteries and IT components and materials in other regions.
