Samsung Galaxy Watch biometric data to be used as metrics for new drug efficacy and safety

Samsung Electronics will directly link biometric data collected via its wearable devices to clinical trials for new drug development. The company said it has signed a partnership with Germany-based digital clinical trial specialist Alcedis to use health data collected by Galaxy Watch in clinical research. The partners aim to convert real-world biometric data into clinical metrics to assess drug efficacy and safety and cooperate across the full clinical research process.

Samsung Electronics unveils Connected Care vision at VivaTech 2026

Samsung Electronics is stepping up its integrated health platform strategy through a European startup and technology expo. At VivaTech 2026, which opened in Paris on Tuesday, it unveiled its Connected Care vision. The display centres on Samsung Health and offers tailored services across sleep, activity, diet, mental health and vital signs. Samsung also introduced heart health features in the Samsung Health 7.0 update and cooperation with U.S. digital healthcare company Xealth.

KB Kookmin Bank overhauls \'Dallija\' running service to boost interactive content

KB Kookmin Bank has revamped its KB Star Banking running service, Dallija, which combines running with financial benefits, and strengthened interactive content. The bank said the service surpassed 500,000 subscribers about two months after its late-February launch. The update enhances a medal-based rewards system called Vending Machine and expands participatory running content, including rankings, challenges and running crews. It also adds integration with the Runday app.
