KB Kookmin Bank has revamped its KB Star Banking service, Dallija, which combines running with financial benefits, and strengthened interactive content.
KB Kookmin Bank said on May 14 it has overhauled features of Dallija, a running-linked service.
Dallija topped 500,000 subscribers about 2 months after its launch in late February. The update strengthens benefits under a medal-based rewards system called Vending Machine and expands participatory running content.
Users can receive 1 medal for every 1 km they run and can save up to 10 a day. The medals can be used to exchange for prizes or enter prize draws.
KB Kookmin Bank also added features including daily and monthly record management, rankings, challenges and running crews to strengthen the user experience.
It also expanded linked services. Following existing links with Samsung Health on Android and Apple's Health app, it now also supports integration with the Runday app, a South Korean running coaching platform.
KB Kookmin Bank is also holding an event to mark the overhaul. It plans to offer prizes including Oakley Eye Jacket sunglasses, Baedal Minjok gift certificates, Starbucks Americano and Paris Baguette gift certificates based on the number of medals saved through May 31.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We will continue to expand differentiated content that connects customers' daily lives with financial benefits."
