[Barcelona, Spain=DigitalToday reporter Jin-ho Lee (이진호)] Samsung Electronics will showcase its 'Galaxy AI' strategy, expanded beyond mobile to the broader ecosystem, and AI and software-based network innovation technologies at 'Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC26)', which opens on March 2 (local time) in Barcelona, Spain.
Samsung Electronics has set up a 1,745 square meter exhibition hall at the Fira Gran Via venue. Centered on the third-generation AI phone 'Galaxy S26 series', it will showcase the Galaxy AI experience that searches for information and performs tasks based on various input methods such as voice and images.
◆ Expanding the Galaxy AI experience with the 'Galaxy S26 series'
At the site, visitors can experience enhanced privacy protection features through the 'Privacy Display', which can limit side viewing of the screen for the first time on a mobile phone. The company will also present the Galaxy S26 series' camera performance. The Galaxy S26 Ultra camera delivers clear photos and videos even in low-light environments through a wider aperture and an upgraded 'Nightography' feature. It will also offer an AI-based image editing experience through 'Photo Assist', which lets users instruct photo editing in natural language, and 'Creative Studio', which converts images into various styles.
It has also upgraded personalised AI features. It will show 'Now Nudge', which suggests information in line with real-time situations, 'Now Brief', which briefs useful information in line with daily schedules, and 'Circle to Search', which enables immediate search and information discovery by drawing a circle on the screen. Visitors can call up and use various AI agents such as Bixby, Gemini and Perplexity.
It will also provide a Galaxy ecosystem experience that works organically. Visitors can check a more convenient AI voice-calling experience on the 'Galaxy Buds4 series'. The Pro model, in particular, strengthens bass performance by applying a bezel-less woofer.
The Galaxy Book6 series supports stable use of Galaxy AI based on strong performance. With the 'Galaxy Tab S11', visitors can experience multitasking optimised for a large screen and Galaxy AI. Samsung Electronics will also unveil a Samsung Health-based health experience linked with the 'Galaxy Watch8 series'.
◆ Presenting a future AI infrastructure strategy... introducing next-generation form factors
It also stresses its AI infrastructure strategy beyond consumer devices. Through 'AI-driven factory', it presents a vision for AI autonomous manufacturing that understands production sites in real time and autonomously optimises processes. In healthcare, it introduces a connected care strategy based on cooperation with Xealth.
It will also present next-generation form factor-based mobile experiences through 'Galaxy XR' and 'Galaxy Z TriFold'. Alongside that, it introduces the 'Galaxy Foundation' vision encompassing privacy, security and sustainability. Visitors can also see Knox and hardware-based mobile security technologies.
In the B2B exhibition hall, it introduces an AI-optimised virtualised network and next-generation solutions. It will exhibit various AI agents and usage scenarios, including the 'Samsung CognitiV Network Operations Suite' solution, which automates the entire process of network planning, installation, operation and optimisation.
It will also showcase 'Network in a Server', a solution for building and operating 5G private networks that integrates various network functions into a single server. It will also exhibit a lineup of new high-performance in-house network chipsets, a lineup of various high-performance, compact and low-power base stations, and next-generation end-to-end virtualised network solutions developed in collaboration with various partners.
Tae-moon Roh (노태문), president and CEO of Samsung Electronics, said, "MWC26 is a place where we can show everything from the present of Galaxy AI to its future direction." He said, "We will place user experience at the centre of all innovation and continuously expand the possibilities of mobile technology."
