Samsung Electronics has stepped up its integrated healthcare platform strategy through a European startup and technology expo. Samsung Electronics on Tuesday took part in VivaTech 2026, which opened in Paris, and unveiled its Connected Care vision.
The display outlines Samsung’s plan to support health management at home and outside through AI technology and connections between devices, services and people. It is built around the integrated health platform Samsung Health and provides tailored services across five areas: sleep, activity, diet, mental health and vital signs. The exhibition booth is made up of three zones, including the Samsung Connected Care Ecosystem zone and the Open Care Lab zone.
Samsung also introduced a health management solution that links Galaxy smartphones and watches with the Samsung Health app, along with heart health management features through the Samsung Health 7.0 update. It also disclosed cooperation with U.S. digital healthcare company Xealth, which it acquired last year. Xealth is a platform that helps medical staff check patients’ health status in real time and prescribe digital solutions. Samsung Electronics is developing a solution that connects the Xealth platform with Galaxy devices so medical staff and patients can manage health together outside hospitals.
The AI Food Manager feature on the Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator provides ingredient in-and-out management and tailored meal-plan reports. The pet health management solution LaiPet uses AI to analyse photos taken on mobile phones to identify major diseases such as dental disease, patellar luxation and cataracts. The partner collaboration exhibition area also includes the AI Beauty Screen developed with Amorepacific and the Visual Meditation service for Samsung TVs developed with startup CUZ.
Choi Seung-eun (최승은), head of Samsung Electronics' Global Marketing Center, said, "Based on the Samsung ecosystem that spans smartphones and wearables, home appliances and TVs, and open partnerships, we are providing a differentiated connected care experience." Choi added, "We will continue to support customers’ healthier daily lives as a health companion."
