Jensen Huang charts AI cooperation map in South Korea over four days

He met executives from SK, Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor Group, Naver and LG Electronics, and hosted a reception bringing together 18 companies. Look for winners from National Growth Fund as AI, bio and secondary batteries draw interest

South Korea’s National Growth Fund is stepping up support for sovereign AI, bio and secondary battery sectors, prompting investors to search for beneficiaries. The fund has approved 11 projects through April, with cumulative approvals of about 8.4 trillion won. Beneficiary candidates cited include POSCO Future M, Dong-A Socio Holdings, Foosung, Naver and Samsung SDS. Analysts said investors should check ownership ties, business links and actual inflows of funds.

National AI computing centre to get Public Growth Fund investment to boost AI infrastructure

South Korea will invest money from the Public Growth Fund in a project to build a national AI computing centre, supporting an AI infrastructure with 15,000 AI chips. A direct investment of 100 billion won in Upstage was also approved to secure sovereign AI. The Financial Services Commission said the fund approved four megaprojects and one regional SME support plan, bringing cumulative approvals to about 84 trillion won.
