Samsung Electronics to show integrated gaming ecosystem at Gamescom in Germany
Samsung Electronics will unveil an integrated gaming ecosystem at Gamescom 2026, which opens on Aug. 26 in Cologne, Germany. The company set up a 1,090 square metre booth to display a full package of gaming devices, including monitors, TVs, mobile products, SSDs and headsets. Under the #PlaySamsung slogan, it created four zones, including Odyssey and Galaxy areas. It also planned events including a PlayGalaxy Cup world final and product unveilings.

South Korean game makers\' second-quarter results are expected to diverge based on profits generated by existing intellectual property rather than whether they released new titles. Krafton and NC, which own PUBG and Lineage, are forecast to post sharp gains helped by new titles and acquisitions. Netmarble is expected to see weaker profitability due to marketing and IP fees, while Nexon expects a pause as some key titles soften despite stable live services.

Nexon to publish Blizzard\'s Overwatch in South Korea; service to start Aug. 12
Nexon will take charge of South Korea PC publishing for Blizzard Entertainment\'s shooting game Overwatch and introduce a new live service, it said on Monday. The official service will begin on Aug. 12 alongside the Season 4 update. The companies plan Korea-tailored content and PC bang services. Users can link Nexon and Battle.net accounts through Aug. 11, keeping all existing items and progress and receiving rewards if linkage is maintained.
