KakaoGames said on Jan. 15 it will hold an offline PC bang event, "Baegma Marble PC Bang Nationwide Tour," for PUBG: Battlegrounds, developed by PUBG Studios under Krafton and serviced by the company.
The event is a nationwide tour designed to expand points of contact with Battlegrounds users and strengthen region-based offline communication. It will be held sequentially at PC bangs in 5 regions including Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju and Jeju every Saturday from Jan. 17 to Feb. 21.
The Baegma Marble PC Bang Nationwide Tour will recruit 100 participants in each region. It will run 4 games in a day, with 2 event matches and 2 solo matches. Different streamers by region, including Miracle and Yoonroot, will visit the sites to play with participants to increase immersion in the event.
The solo matches will have total prize money of 2 million won in each region. Winners of each match will receive 500,000 won immediately. A participant can win up to 1 million won by taking first place twice.
All participants will receive a 1,000 G-Coin coupon and a limited-edition "Baegma Marble" hoodie. Additional G-Coin rewards will also be paid depending on event match results. The event will also offer prizes including BenQ Zowie gaming mice and mousepads, and Kakao Friends goods.
