Samsung Electronics is bringing its full lineup of gaming devices together to present an integrated ecosystem. Samsung Electronics said it will unveil a gaming ecosystem spanning PC, console and mobile games at Gamescom 2026, the world’s largest game exhibition, which opens on Aug. 26 local time at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. Samsung Electronics set up a 1,090 square metre exhibition space and is displaying a full package of gaming devices, from monitors, TVs and mobile products to SSDs and headsets.
Under the #PlaySamsung slogan, Samsung Electronics built four exhibition areas this year: the Odyssey zone, Galaxy zone, Gaming Hub zone and T1 zone. Visitors can try popular games across genres using the products on display. The Odyssey zone features the monitor lineup, including the world’s first 6K gaming monitor, the Odyssey G8, the 4K OLED Odyssey OLED G8 with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, and the glasses-free 3D monitor Odyssey 3D. Visitors can play popular games such as “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4” and “Crimson Desert” on these monitors.
The Galaxy zone offers a look at the mobile gaming ecosystem. Samsung Electronics explained it newly added “Neural Frame Fusion,” which generates pixels and frames in real time using AI to improve power efficiency, to the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8, providing stable performance even during long sessions of high-spec games. In the Gaming Hub zone, visitors can try the Samsung Gaming Hub, which lets users enjoy cloud games without connecting a device. In the T1 zone, visitors can experience the real gaming environment of global esports team T1.
Samsung Electronics decorated the entire exhibition booth in the style of a Korean PC bang and also set up a K-culture experience space. On Aug. 27 to 28, the PlayGalaxy Cup world final using PUBG Mobile will be held on a stage inside the booth. Ten elite teams that advanced through global qualifiers will determine the final winner in the championship match. Samsung Electronics will also hold an unveiling event on Aug. 27 to preview the full lineup of 2027-model Odyssey gaming monitors and a launch event for a new portable SSD product.
Choi Seung-eun (최승은), head of the Global Marketing Center at Samsung Electronics, said Samsung Electronics has a full stack that covers a range of devices and services needed for gaming, from mobile, monitors and TVs to SSDs and headsets. He said it will continue to roll out high-quality devices and services so users can enjoy customised gaming experiences anytime, anywhere through Samsung Electronics’ gaming ecosystem.
