Nexon will take charge of domestic PC publishing for Blizzard Entertainment's shooting game Overwatch and introduce a new live service, it said on Monday.

The official service will begin on Aug. 12 alongside the Season 4 update. The companies plan to roll out customised content and PC bang services tailored to the South Korean market based on close cooperation. Ahead of that, they will run advance account linking through Aug. 11 to help existing users maintain a smooth playing environment.

Users can log in with a Nexon account on the official event page, complete identity verification and then link a Blizzard Battle.net account. Once the process is completed, all play records will be preserved, including skins, sprays, currency and progress held on the existing account. After the official start of service, the game will be accessible via Nexon.com and Nexon Plug, as well as the existing Battle.net launcher.

Users who complete advance account linking and keep the status until before Aug. 12 will receive various rewards. At the time of official service, they will be given 1 "Nexon's Legendary Loot Box," which guarantees 4 legendary skins, the new legendary skin "Splash Surfer D.va" and 20 Mythic Prisms.

It also plans to additionally provide a "Nexonmari" profile card, a player icon, 5 legendary loot boxes and a special player title. Details of the event can be found on the official Overwatch website.
