2026 Korea Game Awards finalist list unveiled with 12 titles including Crimson Desert, Aion2
Twelve games have been named finalists for the main awards at the 2026 Korea Game Awards, including Pearl Abyss\' Crimson Desert and NC\'s Aion2, the Korea Game Industry Association said. The list also includes three titles developed by Netmarble affiliates. Finalists were chosen from games made and released in South Korea between Oct. 3 last year and Oct. 12 this year. Online voting runs through 5 p.m. on Nov. 16. The awards ceremony will be held on Nov. 18 in Busan.

Game industry expands playtests from early development
South Korean game companies are increasingly running playtests from early in development, using player data and feedback to adjust game structure and balance and then testing again. NC Publishing’s Time Takers is set for another Steam global playtest in November after tests in March and September. Similar approaches are being used for Line Games’ Code Exit and Krafton-published Project Zeta. Valve will hold Steam Next Fest from Oct. 20 to 27.

GTA 6 launch fuels PS5 Pro shortage; supply crunch seen until 2027
Sony\'s PlayStation 5 Pro could remain in short supply into next year, with limited store inventories due to high demand and temporary supply constraints, according to a report. Demand may rise further ahead of the Nov. 19 release of GTA 6. The PS5 Pro launched in November 2024, but supply limits have pushed prices above the $699.99 suggested retail price and heated up resale markets.
