NCSoft\'s Aion2 tops 400,000 concurrent users on first day of global launch

NCSoft\'s MMORPG Aion2 surpassed 400,000 peak concurrent users on the first day of its global service launch. NCSoft said it officially released the game to global markets on Oct. 5 local time via Steam and Purple. The title runs servers in four regions including North America and Europe and supports eight languages. Ahead of launch, it held early access for founders pack buyers and ranked first in Steam\'s global top sellers chart by revenue.

Brokerages ramp up pension platforms as South Korea\'s retirement fund market tops 500 trillion won

South Korea’s retirement pension market has topped 500 trillion won, prompting brokerages to step up competition in pension platforms. Korea Investment & Securities showcased an upgraded mobile pension service and plans to expand support from contributions to payouts. Data show retirement pension reserves rose to 501.4 trillion won at end-2025, with DC and IRP accounts making up 54.3%. Firms including Kiwoom, KB, Shinhan and NH are also enhancing services.

More than half of wealthy investors hold crypto, survey shows

More than half of wealthy investors in major U.S. and European markets hold crypto assets, a survey found. CoinShares surveyed 2,230 investors across seven markets with at least $500,000 in investable assets and recent trading activity. Ownership exceeded 50 percent in all markets, with Sweden lowest at 54 percent and the United States, Britain, Germany and Switzerland near 70 percent. After a February market slump, more respondents said their willingness to invest increased than decreased. Separately, Visa found interest in stablecoins rising, though understanding remained low.
