KB Financial starts process to select next chair, final candidate due Sept. 11
KB Financial Group has begun the process to select its next chair. Its chair nomination committee said it will hold at least three meetings and name a single final candidate on Sept. 11. The committee approved detailed rules and cut its long list from 20 to 12 candidates, split evenly between internal and external candidates. It also said it will extend verification and provide external candidates about two months to prepare for interviews.

Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission to hold digital ethics creative content contest
South Korea\'s Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission and the National Information Society Agency will hold the 2026 Digital Ethics Creative Content Contest through Oct. 2. The theme is \"Safe artificial intelligence (AI), shared digital ethics.\" The contest has two categories: awareness-raising content and learning content. Judges will select 25 winners. The top prize includes a presidential award and 2 million won in prize money.

Korea Post to run summer safety and health management for workers ahead of heatwaves, heavy rain
The Ministry of Science and ICT\'s Korea Post said on May 28 it will operate a special safety and health management period to protect workers during summer weather such as heatwaves and heavy rain. The programme will run from June 1 to Oct. 2. Korea Post plans to cut safety accidents by 10 percent from last year and step up prevention of heat-related illness, including providing supplies and training.
