[DigitalToday reporter Jinju Hong (홍진주)] As the cryptocurrency market continues its recovery trend, XRP, Quant (QNT) and Injective (INJ) were cited as altcoins with potential breakouts this week.
On Oct. 6 (local time), blockchain media outlet Decrypt reported that analyst Ali Martinez said the three tokens are each forming different bullish charts. He pointed to XRP entering an upper-breakout zone in a converging triangle, Quant trying to extend a monthly surge, and Injective entering a cup-and-handle retest zone.
For XRP, the key is whether it can turn the breakout area into support after moving above a short-term descending resistance line. XRP fell from $1.6569 on Sept. 23 and moved within a descending triangle. It then tried twice to break above the upper resistance line, but both attempts pulled back. The first attempt was capped at $1.6288 on Sept. 25, and the second at $1.5533 on Oct. 2.
XRP then rose to $1.49 on Oct. 4, approaching the upper resistance line again. It ultimately moved above the trendline and broke out of the descending triangle that had lasted for weeks. The current price was put at $1.5036. The level the market is watching is $1.50. If that area holds as support during a retest, the next target zone could be $1.62. If the pullback grows, this breakout attempt will again be put to the test.
Quant has seen the biggest recent gains among the three. Quant surged 369 percent in September, rising from $61.21 to $286.84. That exceeded the 301 percent gain in June 2019, marking its biggest monthly rise on record. In October, however, it gave back some of the gains and showed weakness. It fell 10.7 percent on a monthly basis, with its current price put around $256.
Quant's near-term pivot is $262. On the chart, if an hourly close forms above $262, a breakout setup could be confirmed. $315 is then cited as the next target. If the uptrend continues, $344 also comes into view. That is why, despite the recent correction, attention is focused on whether the market can recover an upward trend again.
Injective entered a neckline retest zone after breaking out of a cup-and-handle pattern. The key price level is $7.33. Injective fell from $7.9 in November 2025 to as low as $2.7 in April 2026. It then rebounded, rising to $7.2 in June 2026 to complete the cup. After that, it went through the handle phase, slipping from a $7.2 high to around $3.9, before rising again to reach around $7.5.
Recent moves show it pulling back toward the neckline near $7.33. Buying needs to defend that level for the bullish pattern to hold. If $7.33 is confirmed as support and buying momentum builds, the chart's potential target price was put at $13.40.
All three share a common point in that they are forming bullish structures, but whether they actually break out depends on defending different price zones. XRP's key pivot this week was put at $1.50, Quant's at $262 and Injective's at $7.33. Whether funds continue flowing into altcoins during the market recovery phase also remains a variable that could determine their next moves.
