Near Protocol’s token NEAR has risen 138 percent over the past 30 days, entering the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Cointelegraph reported on Tuesday that Near Intent’s cumulative trading volume has exceeded $31 billion, with the ranking rising on the back of the launch of the first U.S. spot exchange-traded product.

At the time of writing, NEAR was trading around $5.51, according to CoinGecko. Its 24-hour gain was about 7 percent. Market capitalisation was about $7.2 billion, and 24-hour trading volume was about $1.2 billion. NEAR overtook Stellar (XLM), which has a market value of about $7 billion.

Near Intent, a cross-chain transaction protocol, has surpassed $31 billion in cumulative trading volume. NEAR’s rise in the rankings also coincided with the Sept. 29 launch of the first U.S. spot exchange-traded product for NEAR. The Bitwise product trades on NYSE Arca under the ticker NRR, allowing investors to gain exposure to NEAR’s price without directly holding the cryptocurrency.

Near Intent, however, suffered a $3.8 million attack last week related to its deposit and withdrawal infrastructure. General manager Alex Shevchenko (알렉스 셰브첸코) said on Oct. 2 that all stolen funds had been returned. The explanation came the day after the hacking was disclosed.
