KSTEC launches AI-based smart IDP solution to automate document processing

KSTEC, an AI and business automation company, said on Tuesday it launched a smart Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solution to shorten and automate corporate document processing. The company said the product combines natural language processing and machine learning beyond existing RPA and OCR, enabling it to understand document context. It can find, classify and extract key data from unstructured documents such as invoices and contracts. It also supports preprocessing and LLM integration to improve extraction accuracy.

No AI without data sovereignty, Synology sets out three-pillar strategy on data, security, recovery

Synology Managing Director Mike Chen (마이크 첸) said companies cannot treat AI as optional but warned that adopting AI without properly controlling vast legacy data can undermine data sovereignty. Speaking at a Computex 2026 keynote in Taipei, he cited a Gartner survey showing widespread employee use of personal AI and disclosures of pasting sensitive company data into external tools. He outlined Synology’s three-part approach: data ownership, security AI and trusted disaster recovery.

Korea Federation of Banks begins building AI advertising review system

The Korea Federation of Banks is moving to build an AI-based advertising review system, the first among financial industry associations, to improve efficiency and accuracy and strengthen internal controls. It said it signed a contract on May 28 with AI company Upstage to develop the system as advertising types diversify with more partnerships with non-financial industries. The federation plans to detect potential regulatory breaches at the production stage and bolster consumer protection.
