Nexthrus posted first-quarter revenue of 11.6 billion won, up 76 percent from a year earlier, helped by global traction in its core games business and expansion in AI and blockchain. Operating profit was 132 million won, down 47.6 percent year on year. Net loss totaled 3.04 billion won due to purchases of assets such as bitcoin. The company plans to expand its game lineup and upgrade its Kross mainnet 2.0 on June 1.

Nexthrus said on Thursday it has signed a partnership with payment services company Worldpay through its Dubai-based unit, Nexthrus Hub FZCO, to expand global payments infrastructure for its game-focused web store, Cross Shop. Under the tie-up, global users can buy game items using their local currencies or digital assets. Nexthrus said Cross Shop supports 0 percent fee payments via its stablecoin-based Cross Pay infrastructure.
