Nexthrus CEO Jang Hyun-kook, in his 2026 New Year address, stressed a corporate culture of executing at the “speed of thought” and reaffirmed his commitment to making the blockchain game project CROSS a success.

In the address on Wednesday, Jang said advances in artificial intelligence and blockchain have created an era in which businesses can operate at the “speed of thought.” He said 2026 will be a period when many things in the blockchain industry are decided, and execution speed will determine a company’s competitiveness.

It underscores the need to move nimbly in line with the current pace of technological change, much as Bill Gates once foreshadowed the changes the internet would bring in his book “Speed of Thought.”

Jang also presented a detailed vision for the CROSS project, Nexthrus’ core mission. CROSS will expand beyond a purpose-built blockchain for games into an on-chain platform that provides a range of technologies and services.

He explained that CROSS Shop and CROSS Pay will expand from onboarding games to other Web3 games, and provide stablecoin payment services with 0 percent fees to existing Web2 games. He also signalled the evolution of CROSS Wave 2.0, a streaming layer.

As last year’s achievement, he cited unprecedented “execution speed.” Jang encouraged employees, saying CROSS Forge, which opened its service two weeks after an idea was proposed, was a representative example, and that work previously done on a yearly basis in earlier projects was completed on a monthly basis.

He also mentioned service sustainability. He urged that “opening is not the end but the beginning,” and said that, as in the case of Rohan2, a sustainable success model must be built through constant updates and problem-solving.

Jang said new service launches and large-scale updates are slated even in January, and urged the company to achieve a clear vision based on strategic flexibility.
