Naver Webtoon appoints Kim Yong-su and Kim Gyu-nam as co-CEOs

Naver Webtoon is shifting to a co-CEO leadership structure, appointing Kim Yong-su and Kim Gyu-nam as co-chief executives, it said on Wednesday. Junkoo Kim will step down as head of the South Korean entity and focus on global management and long-term growth strategy as Webtoon Entertainment CEO and board chair. The company said the move extends a leadership reshuffle carried out in March and aims to expand headquarters governance to the Korean unit and strengthen professional management tailored to local markets.

Webzen to debut playable demo of \'Tyrant of the Defense Game: Last Stage\' at G-Star

Webzen will offer the first public hands-on demo of its new title, \'Tyrant of the Defense Game: Last Stage\', at G-Star in November. The command strategy RPG is being developed by its subsidiary Webzen Crevics and is based on the Naver Webtoon \'Tyrant of the Defense Game\'. The show build will run about 15 minutes including a tutorial. Webzen said it will use player feedback to refine the game ahead of a 2027 release target.

Team Naver proposes AI factory partnership in France, expands to industrial AI and content

Team Naver is expanding cooperation with French companies and institutions on AI infrastructure, industry-focused AI and content. Naver said CEO Choi Soo-yeon (최수연) and Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yoo-won (김유원) met French media, IT, energy, mobility and finance executives during President Lee Jae-myung’s France trip. It proposed jointly building an AI factory in Europe and outlined plans for sector-specific AI and content partnerships, including webtoons and an IP adaptation fund.
