Kakao Games said on Wednesday it released the first advertising video for the new 2.5D massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'World of Goblins,' which is being developed by Supercat, and will begin pre-registration on Aug. 20.

The video features actor Park Ji-hoon (박지훈), who was selected as the game's official model. It is designed to highlight the game's key elements, including Korean-themed material and dot graphics, through scenes showing Park in a Taoist outfit opening a fan and a medieval knight's armor breaking apart into dot-like pieces.

'World of Goblins' is a 2.5D MMORPG being developed based on dot graphics. It plans to offer a skill-deck building system and cooperative content centered on clans.

The game is based on the intellectual property (IP) of the Naver Web Novel 'Myeolgwi Sudujeon,' and a webtoon of the same name is also being serialized on Naver Webtoon.

Kakao Games plans to begin pre-registration on Aug. 20 and then unveil major content and service plans through a showcase in September. It also plans to release marketing content and events and disclose game information in stages until its official launch in October.
