Naver Whale launches AI Chat for in-browser summaries, translation and schedule management

Naver Whale has officially launched AI Chat, which provides summaries, translation and question-and-answer services based on webpage content and also supports tab organisation and schedule management. Naver said it applied the AI Chat function to the Whale browser and, marking the browser’s 10th year since launch, revamped its logo and brand slogan. AI Chat can answer questions from the current page or selected tabs, save responses to a scrapbook, and link to Quick Search and Naver Calendar.

BusinessOn to work with Motif on AI-based enterprise task execution SaaS

BusinessOn Communications said on Tuesday it signed a memorandum of understanding with AI technology company Motif Technologies to jointly research AI-based enterprise task execution software-as-a-service. BusinessOn plans to connect Motif\'s AI technology to core business functions such as electronic tax invoices, e-contracts, finance and accounting, and electronic approvals to build AI agents that carry out tasks. It aims to create an enterprise AI agent environment in which AI executes work while humans control key decisions and final execution.

MSIT, KTOA hold competition to find adventurous, challenging AI startups

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Telecommunication Operators Association held a final round of a competition to identify investment targets among adventurous and challenging AI startups, selecting 8 winners. A total of 268 companies applied, a 33.5-to-1 competition rate. Winners will receive 80 million won in prize money and investment opportunities linked to the Korea IT Fund. An AI venture fund will also be newly created this year.
