Apple, Microsoft AI strategies put to the test as AI cost surge debate grows

Apple and Microsoft face a key month as investors and developers watch whether they can shift perceptions of their AI momentum. Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference runs June 8 to 12 and is expected to highlight on-device AI backed by its chip design experience. Motif Technologies raises 24 billion won in Series B to boost proprietary AI development

Motif Technologies said on Tuesday it raised 24 billion won in a Series B funding round to strengthen its AI deep-tech capabilities. Existing investors NICE Investment Partners and Nautilus Investment made follow-on investments, while Dito Investment and Forest Ventures joined as new backers. CEO Jeong-hwan Lim said the company will push ahead with ongoing projects, develop corporate AX solutions, and advance next-generation AI infrastructure and services.
