KT said on Saturday it is pursuing a full-stack AI strategy for the government-led 'AI for All' project, spanning domestic AI semiconductors, AI models and platforms, and cloud and network infrastructure.

KT plans to form a consortium as the lead company to link AI infrastructure and model and platform capabilities held by domestic firms so they can be used for large-scale public services.

In the AI infrastructure area, Rebellions, Rablup and VESSL AI Korea will participate. KT will combine Rebellions' domestic neural processing unit, Rablup's technology for operating AI computing resources and VESSL AI Korea's AI development and operations platform to build a foundation for stable operation of large-scale AI services.

In the AI model and platform area, Upstage, Motif Technologies, NC AI, Saltlux and ActionPower will participate. The goal is to respond to various usage environments and service demand by using AI models and specialized technologies held by each company.

The consortium will develop technology linkage into a form of 'AI orchestration'. It aims to create a structure that integrates and operates technologies from different domestic AI companies so they can be applied to public services, and to contribute to the expansion of the domestic AI ecosystem.

KT plans to use its nationwide telecommunications infrastructure, cloud and data centers, and experience in operating large-scale services to ensure stable service quality even when many users use AI at the same time.

Jin-hyung Lee (이진형), an executive director and head of KT's AI Transformation (AX) Business Division, said, "We will combine the technological capabilities of domestic AI specialist companies with KT's operational experience to build a foundation so that anyone can use stable and reliable AI services."
