SelectStar unveils decision-focused AI \'DAVI\', cuts model operating costs 28 percent

SelectStar, an AI reliability evaluation company, said on Oct. 26 it unveiled DAVI, a decision-focused AI model. The company said DAVI can select suitable AI models based on question difficulty and evaluate the appropriateness of AI responses, and can also be used to predict AI agent task success. SelectStar said DAVI outperformed TypeSafeAI\'s Jev in benchmark tests and cut model execution costs by about 28 percent in routing experiments.

OpenAI holds first Model Masters in South Korea; 11 startups showcase AI services

OpenAI held its first OpenAI Model Masters event in South Korea to support AI service development by local startups, it said on Oct. 26. Eleven startups participated in the event at OpenAI’s Seoul office on Oct. 23 and showcased products and features using OpenAI models. OpenAI provided API credits to venture capital-recommended startups to support development and experiments. Cutback won with its AI video editing solution, Selects.

Trump announces $4.2 billion Audi U.S. plant investment to produce 200,000 SUVs a year

Audi will invest about $4 billion to build an SUV plant in Georgia, targeting annual output of up to 200,000 vehicles and about 4,500 jobs. U.S. President Donald Trump highlighted the project at a Republican campaign event as a result of his tariff policy ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections. The plan includes producing large SUVs such as the Q7, Q8 and Q9, with construction slated for 2027 and production planned for the early 2030s.
