Dogecoin’s official account has pushed back against a long-running perception that the cryptocurrency has no developers, saying its core development team, foundation and numerous ecosystem projects are continuing work. The message surfaced in response to a question from MyDoge CTO Alex about who is building Dogecoin through market cycles. Dogecoin also pointed to its development history, ongoing open-source maintenance model, and recent ecosystem updates including the Search app and expanded native payments via House of Doge and MoonPay.

ChatGPT is increasingly seen as a potential first gateway for new cryptocurrency users. MoonPay has begun supporting crypto purchase procedures inside ChatGPT, and Coinbase’s Base ecosystem is building tools that allow AI chatbots to handle wallets and blockchain applications. The shift could move the main user touchpoint away from exchanges and wallet apps to conversational AI, while raising trust and security risks such as prompt injection, malicious plugins and more convincing scams.
