Global asset manager Franklin Templeton, Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and stablecoin issuers Tether and Circle will take part in Eastpoint: Seoul 2026, a closed-door digital asset conference to be held on Sept. 28.

The event will be held at the Westin Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong, Seoul. Hosted by venture capital firm Hashed and others, it will bring together a small group of policymakers, global institutions and Web3 leaders to discuss South Korea’s digital asset market and global institutional adoption trends.

Organisers unveiled the first round of speakers and participating companies for this year. The initial lineup includes Chetan Karkhanis (체탄 카르카니스), a senior vice president at Franklin Templeton, and Guy Wuollet (가이 울렛), a general partner at a16z crypto. Harry Jung (해리 정), former deputy director of the White House Digital Assets Advisory Council, will also speak. Caroline Pham (캐롤라인 팜), CEO of MoonPay Institutional and a former acting chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, is also on the roster. So is Utah state Senator Kirk Cullimore (커크 컬리모어), the Republican majority leader. Ryo Kato (료 카토), senior vice president at SBI and CEO of HashHub, and Yy Lum Kok (와이 럼 콕), a senior executive director in the licensing and fintech division at the Abu Dhabi Global Market, are also listed as participants.

Global stablecoin and digital asset firms including Tether and Circle will also take part. Speakers include David Katz (데이비드 카츠), vice president for strategy and policy for Circle Asia-Pacific, and Francesco Fabbricci (프란체스코 파브라치), head of expansion for tokenisation at Tether. Yuval Rooz (유발 루즈), CEO of Canton Network, will also appear. Joseph Lubin (조셉 루빈), founder of Consensys and co-founder of Ethereum, is also on the programme. Arthur Hayes (아서 헤이즈), chief investment officer at Maelstrom, and Hong Kim (홍킴), chief technology officer at Bitwise, will also take the stage. Senior figures from institutions including Coinbase, Ripple, issuer of XRP, and digital asset custodian BitGo are also expected to attend.

From South Korea’s political sphere, Min Byung-duk (민병덕), a lawmaker from the Democratic Party, Ahn Do-geol (안도걸), the party’s deputy floor leader, and Lee Jun-seok (이준석), a lawmaker from the Reform Party, will speak. From South Korea’s securities and fintech sector, senior executives from Mirae Asset Securities, NH Investment & Securities, Meritz Securities, Eugene Investment & Securities and Toss will attend. Senior figures from the card and asset management industries will also take part, including Visa, Samsung Card, Hyundai Card, BC Card, Mirae Asset Global Investments, KB Asset Management, Shinhan Asset Management and Hana Asset Management.

This year’s Eastpoint will be organised around five main themes: the start of the era of institutional investment, the evolution of stablecoins, on-chain capital markets, the era of artificial intelligence agents, and blockchain adoption in everyday life. As in last year, it will use a dual-track structure combining a main stage with closed-door roundtables.

Hashed CEO Seo-jun Kim (김서준) said stablecoins and asset tokenisation have become part of the real market after years of experimentation. He said the question is no longer about the possibility itself, but which businesses and systems can operate for the long term. He said Eastpoint is a place where those who build markets and those who design systems gather in Seoul to find the answer together.
