MoonPay, a global virtual asset payment and stablecoin infrastructure company, will pursue cooperation with Dunamu in digital asset-based global financial infrastructure.

The two plan to combine MoonPay’s global financial services and network with technological and business capabilities including Dunamu’s blockchain GIWA, and explore the usability of digital asset-based financial infrastructure.

They will first identify cooperation opportunities in global payments and fund transfers using stablecoins.

Based on the two companies’ technology and infrastructure, they plan to review various use cases for using digital assets for cross-border payments and fund transfers and examine the business potential of new financial service models.

They will also pursue cooperation in global corporate finance and cash management. The two will jointly review ways to use digital asset-based financial infrastructure for corporate finance and treasury operations, and plan to identify related business opportunities and usage models.

They will also cooperate on expanding the GIWA blockchain ecosystem. The two will use their respective global ecosystems and partner networks to expand access to GIWA-based services and digital assets using that infrastructure, and seek ways to strengthen the GIWA ecosystem’s global connectivity.

MoonPay co-founder and Asia head Bo Gun Lee (이부건) said "For stablecoins to be used as global financial infrastructure, technology and networks are important to connect not only cross-border payments and fund transfers, but also companies’ real financial operations." He said "We will combine Dunamu’s blockchain capabilities with MoonPay’s global financial infrastructure to explore new ways to use digital assets, and continue cooperating so the GIWA ecosystem can expand into global markets."
