Nepal crypto trading rises despite ban; IMF urges faster regulation

The International Monetary Fund said crypto-related flows in Nepal have risen sharply despite a legal ban, and urged the country to strengthen oversight and build a regulatory framework. In an annual consultation report, the IMF flagged growing stablecoin and unsecured crypto flows from 2019 to 2024 and estimated significant cross-border activity. It called for rules aligned with international standards and urged Nepal to complete its FATF implementation plan and exit the grey list.

MODSIM and AI redefine engineering, speed revolution ahead

Dassault Systèmes\' SIMULIA CEO Michelle Ash (미쉘 애쉬) said MODSIM can cut a 40-hour design process to 4 hours, and adding AI could reduce it to seconds. Speaking at a Dassault Systèmes Korea event on June 11, she highlighted three changes: faster physics foundations through GPU-based solvers with Nvidia, MODSIM enabling simulation during design, and AI accelerating work further. She also outlined the company\'s 3D Universe vision based on virtual twins and virtual companions.

Amazon\'s RNG network architecture could reshape data centres, cutting equipment 69 percent while boosting throughput

Amazon’s new data centre network architecture, Resilient Network Graphs (RNG), can cut network equipment by 69 percent compared with existing designs, Tom\'s Hardware reported. RNG targets the hierarchical fat-tree structure, which can create traffic bottlenecks. Based on random graph theory, RNG links routers in a distributed mesh to spread traffic across many paths. Amazon said it raises throughput 33 percent, cuts power use 40 percent and could reduce infrastructure costs by up to 45 percent.
