[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Crypto payments infrastructure firm Mesh is partnering with Visa to roll out a service that lets people buy goods with cryptocurrencies without a separate card, The Block reported on Oct. 19 local time.

Under the partnership, users can directly spend cryptocurrency and stablecoin balances held in partner wallet apps at more than 175 million Visa-accepting merchant locations worldwide, the report said. It supports both in-store and online payments.

The app generates the card information needed for Visa payments, so users do not need to get a separate card. Mesh handles funding and foreign exchange, and users do not need to sell or move assets in advance.

Bam Azizi (뱀 아지지), Mesh's CEO and co-founder, said, "Crypto wasn't hard to use, but the problem was the last mile of the connection." He said solving it required a separate card until now. He said users do not need to move anything and merchants do not need to change anything.

Mesh has not yet disclosed when the service will launch, which devices it will support, or which platforms will participate.

Mesh also supports PayPal's crypto payment service, Pay with Crypto. In January, it raised $75 million in a Series C funding round led by Dragonfly, joining the ranks of unicorn companies.
