Tesla Semi begins mass production after 9 years, signalling truck market shake-up
Tesla shipped the first Semi truck from a new high-volume production line at Gigafactory Nevada, moving its long-delayed electric truck programme into commercial production. The company confirmed mass production at a dedicated 1.7 million-square-foot plant. The Semi shifts to planned output of 50,000 units a year, with 325-mile and 500-mile versions. Tesla is also expanding Megacharger sites and drawing strong early demand in California voucher applications.
