Apple may launch two new laptops with upgraded performance and design changes

Apple is expected to launch two new laptops this fall aimed at MacBook Pro users, an IT outlet reported. The lineup could include an M6-powered MacBook Pro and a MacBook Ultra with a new design. The M6 model is seen as the successor to last fall’s M5 MacBook Pro and may be Apple’s first Mac chip using a 2-nanometer process. Apple is also said to be targeting an M7 chip in the first half of next year.

It said Apple is considering releasing only the base M6 while shifting pro-grade models to M7. The report said M6 Pro and M6 Max may not be in development, and M7 is expected to focus on major advances in on-device AI processing.
