Anthropic Labs draws attention with 80 percent failure rate and breakout successes

Anthropic’s experimental unit Labs, with about 20 people, is drawing attention for driving product innovation by producing Claude Code, the Model Context Protocol and Claude Design. Business Insider said the internal startup incubator was created in 2024 by co-founder Ben Mann. The rotating team prototypes ideas quickly and decides about every two weeks whether to continue or change direction. Projects without results are scrapped or merged, while successful ones become separate teams.

Grayscale, 21Shares urge U.S. SEC to speed ETF review, allow confidential draft filings

Crypto industry participants including Grayscale, 21Shares and Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) have urged the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to make reviews of new exchange-traded products faster and more predictable. Proposals include allowing confidential draft submissions, shortening regulators’ response deadlines and permitting staking structures for spot crypto products. Some firms cautioned that rushing registration could weaken consultation and market-making feedback, while others opposed making the entire registration process nonpublic.

AIXC exits crypto treasury strategy, sells bitcoin and ether to pivot to robotics

Nasdaq-listed microcap AIXC has sold all of its digital assets and ended its cryptocurrency treasury strategy. In an amended S-1 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the company disclosed plans to sell holdings including 33.49 bitcoin, 497.56 ether and 6,325.92 solana, as well as Chainlink, BNB and ADA. AIXC said it had about 50 percent unrealised losses and will pivot to robotics via its RoboShare platform.
