LG Display Q1 operating profit up 338 percent to 146.7 billion won
LG Display said it posted first-quarter sales of 5.53 trillion won and an operating profit of 146.7 billion won, up 338 percent from a year earlier. It said the result was its biggest first-quarter profit since 2021, driven by a shift to an OLED-centred portfolio. It logged a third straight profitable quarter and said OLED made up 60 percent of sales. EBITDA was 1.14 trillion won, with a margin of 20.6 percent.

Samsung Display QD-OLED wins certified wide viewing-angle verification
Samsung Display said on Tuesday its QD-OLED lineup for TVs and monitors completed UL Solutions\' QuantumView viewing-angle evaluation. The test measures changes in luminance and color coordinates from the front out to 60 degrees. Samsung Display said QD-OLED products showed at least 60 percent luminance retention and color coordinate change of 0.012 or less at 60 degrees. It attributed the results to its front-emission structure and quantum-dot Lambertian emission characteristics.

Coway said it ranked No. 1 in the water purifier category of the 2026 Korea Brand Power Index for the 28th consecutive year. It has held the top spot every year since the survey began in 1999, and it is the only company to lead an appliance category for 28 straight years.
