LG Display posts Q3 operating profit of 250.6 billion won, down 42 percent on year
LG Display said on Oct. 22 it posted third-quarter consolidated revenue of 6.277 trillion won and operating profit of 250.6 billion won. Revenue rose 12 percent from the previous quarter and operating profit swung to a profit from a loss. From a year earlier, revenue fell 10 percent and operating profit declined 42 percent, which the company attributed to reduced shipments of mid-sized LCD products under a profitability-focused portfolio strategy.

Fujifilm to launch Instax PAL 2 in South Korea
Korea Fujifilm will launch the palm-sized digital camera Instax PAL 2 in South Korea on Oct. 27. It will take pre-orders on its official online Fujifilm Mall from Oct. 22 to 26. The model is a follow-up to the PAL series first introduced in 2023. It includes a viewfinder, a top LCD monitor, two shooting modes and multiple formats, app themes and effects.

Nintendo to raise Switch repair fees in Japan by up to 69 percent on parts costs
Nintendo will raise repair fees in Japan for the Nintendo Switch 2 and existing Switch models, with the biggest increase affecting CPU circuit board repairs. The company said it is revising console repair charges from Nov. 16 due to higher repair parts prices, applying the new rates to items that arrive after that date. Other Switch 2 repairs rise by 1,100 yen. Accessory repair fees remain unchanged.
