Korea Exchange delays launch of pre- and after-market to Sept 14
Korea Exchange on Tuesday delayed the launch date for pre- and after-hours trading in the securities market to Sept. 14 from June 29, citing industry calls for more system development and testing. A planned mock market will run from April 6 to Sept. 13 for 23 weeks. The premarket closing time will move 10 minutes earlier to 7:50 a.m., while the 7 a.m. start remains unchanged.

Koscom reorganises to respond to capital markets changes, expands digital asset division
Koscom said on Tuesday it carried out an organisational restructuring to respond to changes in the capital markets environment and secure future growth drivers. The company expanded its Digital Business Division into a Digital Asset Business Division to build infrastructure covering issuance, distribution and settlement. It also upgraded a digital asset task force into a formal department, set up a new service department, and launched task forces for extended trading development and KDX platform work.

KDX, NXT chosen for STO over-the-counter exchange pilot; Lucentblock left out
South Korea\'s Financial Services Commission selected the Korea Exchange-Koscom KDX consortium and the NextTrade-Musicow NXT consortium as preliminary license candidates to open a pilot over-the-counter exchange for tokenised securities. The FSC granted NXT conditional approval, saying it would halt the full licensing review if the Fair Trade Commission opens an administrative probe into technology theft allegations raised by Lucentblock. Lucentblock was dropped after receiving a lower evaluation score.
