Samsung Electronics provides 3 billion won to support flood recovery in Gyeongsang
Samsung donated 3 billion won to support residents in areas hit by torrential rains, including Geoje and Tongyeong in South Gyeongsang and Andong and Uiseong in North Gyeongsang, it said on Aug. 28. Nine affiliates joined the donation. Separately, Samsung will provide 1,000 emergency relief kits and 300 tent-type disaster relief shelters via the Korean Red Cross. Samsung Card will offer payment deferrals, interest reductions and loan maturity extensions for affected customers.

Four major financial groups pledge 2 billion won for South Gyeongsang flood recovery
South Korea\'s four major financial holding groups - KB, Shinhan, Hana and Woori - will each donate 500 million won to support recovery from heavy rain damage in parts of South Gyeongsang province including Geoje and Tongyeong. The groups are also rolling out financial support through affiliates, including emergency living funds, loans for small businesses and SMEs, deferrals of card payments and insurance premiums, and interest rate concessions.

Korbit teams up with Red Cross to support descendants of independence patriots
Korbit is running a digital-asset donation campaign with the Korean Red Cross to support descendants of independence patriots. The company said on July 15 it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Red Cross and started the \'Remember 1945\' campaign. The campaign runs from July 15 through Oct. 15. Korbit members can donate in five digital assets, including bitcoin and ether. Donations will be used for the Red Cross support programme.
