BNK Financial Group said it held a signing ceremony on Tuesday afternoon at the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency for an agreement to prevent financial crimes that harm livelihoods and to provide emergency support for victims.
BNK Financial Group, the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency and the Busan branch of the Korean Red Cross took part in the agreement ceremony.
BNK Financial Group plans to create a 200 million won fund through the BNK Financial Group Hope Sharing Foundation to support victims of financial crimes that harm livelihoods. It also plans to pursue various measures to protect financial consumers and prevent financial losses.

The organisations plan to strengthen the local community safety net along with efforts to prevent financial crimes that harm livelihoods.
BNK Financial Group Chairman Dae-in Bin (빈대인) said, "I hope this agreement will provide practical help to victims who are struggling due to financial crimes that harm livelihoods, such as financial fraud." He added, "We will continue to fulfil our social responsibility to prevent financial fraud and provide relief for victims."
Busan Metropolitan Police Agency Commissioner Seong-gyu Eom (엄성규) said, "We will continue to upgrade protective measures linked to reports of large cash withdrawals and the emergency support system for victims, expand cooperation with the local community, and create a public security environment in which citizens can enjoy a safe and peaceful life."
