Kakao has released a video series, “Kanana Original,” on its official YouTube channel to introduce the capabilities of its in-house omnimodal AI model, Kanana-o. The campaign consists of three episodes in talk show, recital and vlog formats. Kakao said the model can understand text, voice and images and generate real-time answers, with strengths in understanding Korean context. The series also demonstrates functions such as multi-turn dialogue and content creation.

Although enthusiasm for humanoid robots is spreading, skepticism about human-shaped designs is growing among some Silicon Valley investors. They argue that robots tailored to specific tasks are more efficient in industrial settings and that humanoids can be more about demonstrations than practicality. Funding is moving to wheeled general-purpose robots and industrial automation. Supporters counter that successful humanoids could target manufacturing, logistics, services and homes, and investment in the sector is rising sharply.
