U.S. OCC says 60% of new bank charter applications include crypto-related business plans
About 60% of newly filed bank charter applications in the United States include crypto-related business plans, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) said. OCC chief Jonathan Gould said 23 of 40 applications in the 18 months since the Trump administration took office included digital asset proposals. He said inclusion of payment stablecoins in plans is becoming common as the OCC accelerates stablecoin rulemaking under the Genius Act.

Bitcoin climbs above $68,000 as SEC rule proposal, White House summit boost sentiment
Bitcoin regained the $68,000 level and rose 6.16 percent to $68,610, with market share at 58.84 percent, Coin360 data showed. Major altcoins also gained, while some tokens fell.
